Terms & Conditions

Terms & Conditions – Elgate Products Limited

These Terms & Conditions apply to all goods and services supplied by Elgate Products Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”). By engaging our services or purchasing products from us, you agree to the terms below.

1. Quotes & Contracts

All quotations are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise and are subject to these Terms. A contract is formed once your quote is accepted in writing and any required deposit is paid.

2. Payments

A deposit may be required to secure orders or installation dates. Final payment is due on completion of works or delivery of goods unless otherwise agreed in writing.

3. 14-Day Cooling-Off Period

When the 14 days start

For services only: the 14-day period begins the day after the contract is signed.

For goods and installation (for example, solar panels and fitting): the period begins the day after the final item is delivered to your address.

Starting work during the cooling-off period

We will not begin work during this period unless you provide express written consent.

If consent is given and you cancel within the 14 days, you may be charged a reasonable amount for any work already completed and for goods that have been installed or used.

If work is started without written consent, you will not be liable for associated costs and are entitled to a full refund of any deposits paid.

Refunds

If you cancel within the cooling-off period, all payments made will be refunded within 14 days of either:

You notifying us of the cancellation, or

Us receiving returned goods, whichever is sooner.

The cost of standard delivery will be refunded. You may be responsible for return delivery costs unless we failed to inform you of this obligation in advance.

4. Delivery & Installation

Delivery and installation dates are estimates only and may change due to factors outside our control, including weather conditions or supplier delays. We are not liable for delays beyond our reasonable control.

5. Permissions & Property

Customers are responsible for ensuring that all required permissions, approvals, or consents are in place prior to installation. We recommend checking any roof or property warranty before proceeding with solar installation, as installing equipment may affect existing warranties.

6. Warranties

All products are supplied with manufacturer warranties. Our installation workmanship warranty is provided as agreed in writing at the time of installation.

7. Liability

Our liability is limited to direct losses arising from our services. We are not responsible for any indirect, consequential, or economic losses. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for personal injury, death, or any matter that cannot be excluded under law.

8. Ownership of Goods

Ownership of all supplied equipment transfers to you only after full payment has been received.

9. Data Protection

We process customer data in line with our Privacy Policy and all applicable UK data protection legislation.

10. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
